Meet the Founder
Luc Dang grew up in rural Connecticut with rescued mustangs and bee hives, giving his family’s leftover eggs to local restaurants. When he graduated college and went into corporate finance, he was quickly and subconsciously swayed away from his sustainable roots...until he came across a headline that read “40% of all food produced in the U.S. never makes it to a consumer.” That day in 2015, Phood was born and he never turned back.
Today, Luc is recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 as an emerging leader in sustainability and has spoken across the world with the United Nations and Harvard's Food Law and Policy Clinic. He is interested in the business opportunity of food waste and motivated by the power of corporate social responsibility.
